it illuminates the room and adds character to my wall- i also purchased the standing up one - they are well made i had no problem assembling him (adding tail) and easy to add to the wall

I bought it along with the sitting monkey lamp, and they look great together: coordinating but not too matchy-matchy. I can't compare its quality to the super expensive Soretti lamp that is its obvious "inspiration," but it's certainly worth the money on it's own.
